IHI Excavator Delivers Compact Power

It's one of the newer players on the scene delivering compact excavators to jobsites all over the world, but the company behind the IHI excavator is quickly making a name for itself in the field. Specializing in compact excavators, IHI has grown rapidly since its 1994 inception.

Based in Kentucky, the IHI excavator company boasts a product line that includes three separate series of compact excavators. The models in the excavator line range from super mini-excavators to regular sized compacts. It also produces all terrain carrier dumpers, with several models in this line.

The company behind the IHI excavator started out small, but has grown tremendously. It now keeps a rather large inventory of ready-made excavators in stock and has doubled its warehouse space and added on in other areas, as well.

In addition to excavators and carriers, the company also makes sure to have plenty of specialty job attachments on hand for the vehicles in its line.

The IHI excavator line includes three separate series. Each one has its own special features with a few running standard throughout.

The N Series boasts several different models. This is a conventional tail excavator line that falls into the mini-excavator class.

Models in this series all feature hydraulic pilot joystick controls with armrests for smooth operation. They also come with a quick-change valve for fast switches between the backhoe mode and excavation. In addition, this series has a number of safety and maintenance features that make it stand out.

The NX Series is the company's most extensive line. It includes a number of different IHI excavator models that are ideal for a variety of different working conditions.

This series also offers a travel pressure boost system like the other products in the IHI excavator line.

The 70Z is a series onto its own. This IHI excavator features zero front swing, zero tail swing and a 57 hp water-cooled diesel engine. The cab is fully enclosed and offers both heat and air.

Like the other IHI excavator models, it offers a quick-change control value, a hydraulic knuckle boom and more. This model also offers 2-speed travel, auxiliary hydraulics as standard features and hydraulic pilot controls.

All of the models in the IHI excavator line work with a variety of specially designed attachments. From augers and hammers to thumbs and special buckets, customization is quite possible as jobs demand. There is some variation on which attachments will work with particular excavator models.

The IHI excavator isn't the oldest make out there, but with a rather extensive line, the company is making quite the name for itself. Offering a rather large selection of compact excavators, IHI very likely has an excavator to fit almost any small to medium sized job need.
